PCOS affects 1 in 10 woman.

Many of you have messaged me to say that you’ve been diagnosed with PCOS but have never really heard of it, nor had major symptoms.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a disorder involving infrequent, irregular or prolonged menstrual periods, and often excess male hormone (androgen) levels. The ovaries develop numerous small collections of fluid — called follicles, may form cysts— and may fail to regularly release eggs.

It can also cause excessive facial and body hair growth, acne, obesity, it can make it more difficult to get pregnant, and cause a higher risk of diabetes because it almost always goes hand in hand with insulin resistance.

Here is what I would do (and what I actually did when I was diagnosed… and I no longer have it)

Don't believe it's for life!

  • Stop snacking
  • Eat no more than 3 times a day
  • Go on low carb - high protein diet
