Health Nag of the day. Are probiotics a myth?

They are useless UNLESS you create the right environment for your friendly gut microbiome to grow. Adjusting the diet, ‘clearing your pathways’ aka removing ‘junk’ and toxic waste out of your intestines and colon and then consuming PRE-biotic foods is a must so new ‘guests’ feel welcome.

PRE-biotic is the food that friendly bacteria NEED in order to live and thrive; and without this ‘fuel’, they simply won’t survive.

PREBIOTIC FIBER is a non-digestible part of foods that goes through the small intestine undigested and is fermented when it reaches the large colon. It is not as fragile as PRO-biotic bacteria because it is not affected by heat, stomach acid or time. Nor does the fermentation process differ depending on the individual. This fermentation process feeds gut friendly bacteria and help them settle in their new home better ))

Foods that support healthy flora:

• Garlic
• Artichokes
• Chicory
• Chives
• Leeks
• Bananas
• Asparagus

Keep in mind that sugars, meds and stress compromise the growth of a healthy bacteria. It’s also important to eat a clean, fibre rich paleo diet while re-building your gut flora. And pretty much all the time after )) It’s a lifestyle thing, not a diet thing ☝🏼
